This Anet 18AWG Upgrade Heated Bed Cable assembly helps reduce instances of overheating and connector burn out due to excess current.
The standard Anet heater cable connector has insufficient current rating for the amount of power drawn by the standard heatbeds. However there are spare connections on the connector and heat bed which allows the current to be shared across the pins eliminating burn out.
This cable doubles up the positive and negative supply cables effectively halving the amount of current drawn across each connector pin.
