  • Finally! A 5V inductive sensor compatible with the Prusa i3 MK2. We had tried several in the past but with limited success. We were so excited when we tested this one, and it was virtually plug and play that we just had to add them to our range.
  • This product was tested on our in house Prusa i3 mK2, so we know it works.
  • This is a high quality industrial grade inductive sensor with a 5V input voltage, making it compatible with Mini Rambo as used on the Prusa i3 Mk2 & other controllers needing 5V sensors.
  • As an industrialised premium product, it has features that make it much more robust and durable than that originally fitted to the Prusa i3 MK2 in particular an additional shroud for strain relief. 
  • 2mm sensing range gives improved temperature stability over other sensors, IP67 rated. Operating temperature -20°C~+70°C. Leakage current DC:≤0.01mA no-Load. Residual votage DC:≤1.5VDC No-load
  • The 2mm sensing range means that the bed needs to be reasonably flat before attempting calibration.
PLEASE NOTE: the 2mm range is for Ferrous materials such as steel, ranges for other materials such as Aluminium may be considerably less. Not recommended for glass surfaces.

Dropped straight in and worked no problem. I did have to set it lower than the original Prusa part - almost level with the tip of the nozzle- otherwise it didn't detect the 9th reference point. Once that was sorted out it works OK. No data on longevity - only just fitted it.

Perfect drop in replaciment for i3Mk2 Pinda.

Took about 15 minutes to swap out the old faulty probe(mostly wrestling with the spiral wrap), and this just plugged into the board in its place with zero problems. Recognised immediately. After fiddling with the height, and recalibrating, I'm back to being able to use my printer as normal.

If this lasts as long as the original probe. I'll be delighted.

This new probe has better strain relief, and the cable has a little extra length. Not a bad thing.

When re wrapping the cable bundle, I found that starting from the electronics box, and working my way towards the head was the easiest way to avoid pulling any cables too tight.
